Connor Leone is the Sustainable Agriculture Program Manager from ECOLIFE Conservation.
We will learn about the science of aquaponics and how ECOLIFE is utilizing this sustainable growing method to reduce resource consumption and increase food security. We will cover the most common types of aquaponic system designs and their defining features, and take an inside look at ECOLIFE's Aquaponics Innovation Center - a commercial demonstration system growing ~3,000lbs of produce annually. This is a great opportunity for farmers, gardeners, educators, and all of those interested in sustainability to learn more about our programs and the many ways we work to protect wildlife, natural resources, and the people who depend on them."
Connor moved to San Diego from Morgantown, West Virginia to earn his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies at CSU San Marcos. He is passionate about bringing awareness to environmental challenges through education, and he hopes to inspire synergistic relationships between humankind and the natural world.
