Fall is for Planting - Fausto Palafox

Fausto Palafox, owner Mission Hills Nursery grew up in the plant industry starting out at age 12 working for Nurseryland Garden Center as a water boy, stocker and carry out. He worked his way up through their corporation before an opportunity arose to purchase Mission Hills Nursery. It has been in our family since 1989, and we continue to grow with San Diego gardens.

Fall is perfect for planting almost anything in San Diego. The air is cooler so there is less stress on you and the plants, and the soil is warm to help encourage new growth. Hopefully some winter rains will happen which will help the plants establish well before really growing in early spring.
